Hi, I'm Genny - the hands behind every bar. Satin & Sage started as a small idea that wouldn't leave me alone. I first came across soap making years ago, and even when life pulled me in other directions, it always found its way back - through supplies gathering dust, through half-finished batches, through the quiet feeling that this was something I was meant to build.
Eventually, I stopped pushing it away and started paying attention. This brand is what happened when I finally listened.

What We Make
Every bar, bath soak, and lotion bar is handmade in small batches, right here in the San Francisco Bay Area — mixed, poured, cured, and cut by hand, one batch at a time.
I've always loved soap that does more than one thing well.
Some days I want a bar with a scent that fills the whole bathroom. Other days 1 want a rich, luxurious lather with nothing added at all — just good oils and butters doing exactly what they're meant to do. That's the whole philosophy behind this line: there's something here for whoever you are that day.
Botanical and bright. Deep and unscented.

Our soap collection ranges from everyday, gentle bars to layered swirls and clay-forward formulas built for specific skin needs. Our milk baths and bath salts bring that same care into the tub — real clays, real botanicals, and fragrances chosen to actually mean something.
How We Formulate
Every formula in this collection is:
- Paraben-free
- Phthalate-free
- Vegetarian
When I do use fragrance, I source carefully — choosing fragrance oils that are themselves free of parabens and phthalates, because a beautiful scent shouldn't come with a trade-off. Every fragrance and essential oil used across this line stays within IFRA usage guidelines, calculated formula by formula rather than guessed at.
Where it makes sense, I bring in organic ingredients and real botanicals - clays, oats, aloe, milks, and essential oils - chosen for what they actually do, not just how they look on a label. Nothing is added because it sounds impressive. Everything is added because it earns its place.
